Thermal and Acoustic Insulation

Maestri nella realizzazione dell’isolamento termico e dell’assorbimento acustico

We are masters in the realization of thermal and sound insulation and / or sound absorption, thanks to the use of solutions in gypsum coated sheets (dry systems) or in lightened concrete, and to the different choice of materials to be used in depending on the type of result you want to achieve. For this type of intervention, in addition to the work that is certainly carried out to perfection, there is also a package of Stiferite, Isover, Rockfon, etc. certifications, related to the reference manufacturer.

Thermal insulation and sound absorption are perfectly in line with the new regulations in force and have always been a relevant topic in the building sector, as they become increasingly important considering the needs of energy efficiency, energy saving and sustainability, comfort and environmentally friendly.

All the insulating products are suitable both for the redevelopment and renovation of environments with strong thermal dispersion or to be acoustically reclaimed, and for technical environments (such as technical rooms and recording rooms). Knowing therefore the different thicknesses and the relative equivalences with the other insulating materials, means conferring greater resistance to the structure to be insulated. Both for thermal insulation and for insulation and / or sound absorption it is necessary to subdivide into three macro categories, namely: synthetic, mineral and plant-based insulators.

  • Synthetic insulators are essentially chemical compounds (foams, expanded polyurethane, polyethylene, extruded polystyrene), very widespread and inexpensive; ideal regulators of internal temperatures and condensation issues at home.
  • Those of mineral origin obtained from rocks (felts, expanded clay, vermiculite and perlite) offer maximum results if the environment presents infiltration or too much humidity, as well as being very resistant to mould and non-combustible.
  • Insulators of natural origin (wood fibres, cork, cotton and cellulose) are widely used in building as excellent thermal insulators, non-combustible, recyclable and durable.

Thermal insulation is mainly aimed at retaining heat inside the building, vice versa, during the summer period, the “heat shield” acts as protection from the same. A good thermal insulation also means saving of thermal energy and therefore of money.

Sound absorption, on the other hand, makes it possible to hinder the transmission of sound energy from one environment to another, through the real physical separation of space. Therefore, the acoustic insulation protects and attenuates the sound perception and dissipates its strength. This method is fully applied in the following cases: hospitals, hotels, residential buildings, commercial and cinema areas, schools, offices, private houses, etc.
